FLAT OUT

More fixed gear films. Tokyo to Osaka, London to paris . Now we have Sydney to Melbourne. A few of the euro boy's decided to tackle the land down under and do the 1400km ride. Looks like they had an epic time.

Brisbane does it tuff...

Brisbane was thrashed with some very serious weather over the last few day's. A lot of damage in some area's and id imagine quite a few poeple today are still trying to recover from the down poor. This photo was taken and sent into the local paper here. One of our fixed courier's braving the weather. I know getting to ride fixed all day must sound like the best job in the world, but over the last few days I'm sure its been less then ideal. Respect lad's.

GRIME ST

Ok so I'm trying not to make this blog like the rest. i.e full of images and fixed gear video's that you can find on all the other blog's, but i really love the idea behind this one. Ride hard, live fast, take back the street. Grime st has all of this.

Wonka, Torey and Mike from Richmond Fixed (which in a blog to promote Richmond Virginia fixed gear trick scene) and Joey Krillz from Smashenger ( Joey's personal fixed blog....) are supposedly bringing out a new clothing line. GRIME ST! no evidence yet ( all link's send you here ) but this vid which is supposed to be a pre-advertisement for it.. Shit editing, plenty of stacks and some trick music selections make it one dope video.
"First edit is out! Just watch that shit. No words.... some nutty shit! Monster lines" -Prolly

DON'T STEAL BIKES....

Bike Thief vs Street Justice from triple on Vimeo.

Ever thought of being beaten up bu a hipster? I know this video has been kicking around the internet for a while now but i just thought i would put it up for all of you who haven't see it, several bike messenger's performing some street justice after finding a guy trying to steal his bike.... the reason why im putting it up now is because i actually found an account by the owner of said bike....

http://animalnewyork.com/2009/09/messengers-deliver-street-justice-to-bike-thief/

reading comments there was one i had to reply to.

Two, violence is not the answer. While beating someone up might be fun, it doesn’t reflect well on the human species. how can we expect to be a peaceful society when all it takes is an attempted bike theft to make us violent?

To this i have to disagree. for one are you are comparing the use of violence towards a thief with the actions of many others within history? or the disgraceful actions of the current American government. If you want to talk about the human species, you cannot even attempt to understand the in working's of a human mind.. one thing we do know is once we as human's learn something, the subconscious will therefor continue the practice, it will then take a large conscious event for you to unlearn it. this guy likes to steal bikes. Maybe this is what he needed to realize that it is unacceptable as a human being to take someones property and livelihood away.

I also found on a forum recently i t shirt with "DON'T STEAL BIKES BRO" and a u-lock. If i find it again ill show you all.

Mike giant's “Cyclists of San Francisco” exhibition recently was on display at 260 Divisadero. Photo's were taken of actual bike messangers from SF and then the artwork done by mike himself. Killing myself i missed this exhibition.

THREADED! Angus Black x City Dweller Fashion show...

FRIDAY 12th of FEB you will see THREADED fashion show at Alhambra Lounge this is a collaboration between Brisbane's CITY DWELLER boutique and a brand new ANGUS BLACK store opening across from the currently being refurbished EMPIRE nightclub on Brunswick St Fortitude Vally. To kick of this mighty duo they have RUNWAY SHOWS at 10pm & 11:30pm and DJ sets from WOGGO and SAMMY BROWN just to name a few, along with more crazy shenanigans. All are welcome and your guaranteed to see the supreme of Brisbane's boutique fashion.

THE SON OF A BUTCHER
Angus Black was born in 1909, the son of the greatest butcher in all of the land. From a young age he was taught the importance of a quality cut. During his life, Angus prided himself on his attire and appearance, travelling the world in search of the perfect wardrobe made from the finest of fabrics, and the softest of hands... Feeling weary from his travels, Angus settled in the quaint little village of New Farm in Brisbane, with the intention of continuing his father’s legacy. He opened a butcher shop down the road on Brunswick Street, and would walk to work everyday on the same path, carrying the same blue and white apron thrown over his shoulder. He lived a long and prosperous life and would become known more for his sartorial choices than the meat he sold on a daily basis. 100 years after his birth, Angus’ legacy was kept alive with the opening of his namesake store, stocking the finest cuts from across the Australian landscape, in his old butcher shop. Some say to this day, his photograph and apron can still be found at number 354, Brunswick Street, Fortitude Valley...

Girls BIkes and tattoo's. what cold be sexier.....

Not so long ago a few friends of mine from Brisbane did a shoot for Jason Paparoulas, With out me even knowing suddenly i was bombarded with photo's of the sexiest of girls and fixed gear bikes. This is the result.... i only wish i could have had a little more to do with the shoot. Looking at organizing my own little bit of sexy girl+fix'd mischief... for now you all can just enjoi these.

H PLUS SON's EERO [air-oh] 43.3.....

So its a bit of a fad to have wide wheels. Looks tough, but when is enuf enuf... well H PLUS SON has just smashed the widest all production wheel, the Velocity B43 which is 43mm deep with there new  EERO said air-oh which is 43.3333333mm deep also being 22mm wide is a strong advantage for running those 30c tyres. Like the .3 really makes a difference but they really are a sexy wheel. Take a look.

Profile
